AbstractBackground Globally, problematic internet use (PIU) is acknowledged as a significant behavioural problem in adolescents and youth. It being researched for further clarity an independent disorder. crucial to explore predictors of PIU understand the high-risk psychosocial indicators use, particularly amid COVID-19 pandemic India. Aim The present study aimed at studying age, gender, mental health, coping strategies lifestyle adolescents, young adults middle-aged adults. Methods used cross-sectional design, data was collected using Perceived Stress Scale, Internet Gaming Disorders-9, DSM-5 Self-Rated Level-1, Brief-COPE scale. Multiple regression analysis employed find sample 1027 i.e., (13–19 years), (20–39 (40–60 years). Separate analyses were carried out three subgroups well. Results Results showed that perceived stress, maladaptive (substance self-blaming, self-distraction, disengagement), repetitive thoughts actions, impact PIU. Furthermore, differences found different sub-groups age.
